Fargreen offers three main types of premium quality, gourmet mushrooms which are grown naturally and locally on rice straw. These come in both fresh and dried forms.
Straw mushroom is a delicacy, thriving when the weather is humid and warm. This type of mushroom is difficult to cultivate in large amounts and keep afresh without using preservatives. The best season for straw mushrooms in Northern Vietnam is from April to September.
Oyster mushrooms are versatile - available throughout the year and complimenting many dishes from stir-fries to soups and hotpots. They are crunchy in taste and rich in nutrition. They thrive in temperate weather with breezy air - autumns and mild winters in Northern Vietnam.
Button mushrooms are premium edible mushrooms originating from Europe. They prefer colder weather, thus grow only in the winter in Northern Vietnam. Button mushrooms are great in dishes like soups, pizzas or pastas.
HEALTHY RICE AND VEGETABLES
After each mushroom crop, the leftover mulch, which is soft and full of nutrients, is used as biofertilizers to nurture other healthy crops such as rice and vegetables. These crops are grown naturally in limited amounts, without any chemical fertilizers, pesticides or any harmful substances.
